Weekly weigh-in

I thought that it might be slightly interesting to post a weekly weigh-in. I've done this before, it didn't last long. This may stop at any time. I'll aim for Tuesday for no real reason.

This week I lost 300 grams.

Not a lot, but I haven't done any exercise. The pool is closed due to the earthquake, and will probably be out of action for weeks. That gives me walking or running as options. My eating, however, has been very good. It looks like the death toll for the earthquake will be less than expected, which is great news. Current guesstimate is around 200, with 166 bodies found so far. Amazingly, no people were killed in the ChristChurch cathedral, when the spire came down, and half the building collapsed (not the 20 I'd said). When the rescuers found out that there were no bodies, the feeling was 'surreal'.

  1. If I calculated your weight loss correctly, then it was about 2/3 of a pound. That's good. Yesterday at my WW meeting, we talked about little things adding up. One lady had "only" lost .2 pounds on the scale. She was a little sad until she realized that with the .2 loss, she had reached her first 10 pounds lost. Then she was happier about the small loss. Keep on the journey. : )

  3. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I'm just here to comment on WW a little more.

I let the meeting cost prevent me from going for 30 years. I knew people who had great success with WW but did not think it was worth paying for meetings. When I reached 178 pounds and did not seem to have the ability to stop the march to 200 pounds, I joined in desperation. After nine months, I met my goal and made Life Time and as long as I do not go more than two pounds over my goal weight, I get to go to free meetings.

A few years ago, I figured up what I spent during that nine months and it was a little over $400 including products I bought from them.

When I hear about people spending $25,000 for gastric bypass (ewe no!) it seems like a very small amount. I know it doesn't work for everyone and I'm not trying to sell you on them. I'm just so glad that it did work for me. Have a great day!
